Gold Coast (OOL) Airport 
Located at Coolangatta at the southern end of the Gold Coast is Australia's fastest growing airport and is the 7th busiest airport in Australia. Gold Coast Airport was previously named "Coolangatta Airport" which is an Aboriginal word meaning "Place of Good View". The Airport code is OOL on your ticket, boarding pass and baggage claim.
Please note: AirAsia shows it’s Origin, Gold Coast (Brisbane) (OOL), on tickets and on it’s web site confusing some passengers into traveling to Brisbane (BNE International Airport when all arrivals and departures are in fact from Gold Coast (OOL) Airport.
Travel times will vary because of traffic conditions, but is generally about 30 minutes from Gold Coast Airport to the heart of Surfers Paradise
